The trigger mechanism is your interface with the rifle. Without a good controllable trigger, you can never tap the full potential your rifle has to offer. It’s just like how the rest of the car doesn’t matter if the steering has too much play and pedals are mushy.
When we set out to improve on what we saw in stock ARs over twenty years ago, the fire control system was high on our list. Following close on the heels of our original Recoil Eliminator, the JP trigger is the product that made our reputation. The classic JP Fire Control Kit is the longest-lasting, best-selling trigger kit in the industry. It’s often seen use as an upgrade fire control package in the rifles of several manufacturers.
Our fire control components feature optimal metallurgy, machining and finishing to ensure the quality of our signature JP trigger pull. An extremely short reset of the hammer ensures a durable relationship between components. The complete absence of take-up and overtravel and an incredibly short reset strike the perfect compromise between precision and speed.
All that equates to a trigger you have to feel to truly appreciate. Every JP trigger carries the guarantee of slopless installation and the perfect JP trigger pull that breaks like a glass rod. The difference is plain to see on the face of anyone even dry-firing a JP rifle for the first time.
Drop-In Modules | Component Packages | Lower with Trigger
The crisp, precise feel of a JP custom shop trigger is something we've never compromised. It's no surprise that the original JP Fire Control Kit was the second product we brought to market. Ever since, the clean break of a JP trigger has been unmistakable and unmatched.
At long last, we're pleased to offer that same signature JP trigger feel in the convenience of a module once again. Originally introduced back in 2004, the JPFC-M is back, newly redesigned to not just replicate but innovate.
Beyond combining the quality of a JP trigger with unmatched ease of installation, the new JPFC-M incorporates an interchangeable shoe feature for user customization. The core module can be easily reconfigured with one of three different shoe designs: curved, flat and roller. Shooters of any discipline or application will find an option to suit their purpose and preference.
Preassembled and hand-tuned in a stainless steel housing, the JPFC-M features wire-cut components for a super-precise relationship requiring no user adjustment. Installation of the module is nothing more than inserting the trigger pins and tightening down two screws to secure the module in place.
The also comes packaged with your choice of shoe style and color for the curved or flat shoes, each available in black, silver, red or blue. Also included are our signature Anti-Walk Pins and an ambidextrous safety selector with levers color-matched to the trigger. Plus, two alternate rate hammer springs allow for user customization of trigger pull.
A signature JP trigger with drop-in ease. That's what the market has needed and demanded, and we're happy to finally oblige again.

For true refinement and customization, nothing matches our component fire control line for those who like to do the work themselves. Our signature JP trigger has been one of the most unmistakable features of our rifles. While we’re happy to perform the installation for you, even our best results are nothing that’s out of reach for the home builder. Our component triggers represent the best performance value and strike the best compromise between safety, performance, value and mission-specific versatility. Once you try one, we hope you will agree.
Like the JPFC-M module, our component trigger lineup is also available with our interchangeable trigger shoe feature.
Fire Control Kit
The original single-stage Mil-spec replacement, our classic Fire Control Kit was the second product we ever released and has never fallen out of favor. The goal was to take a 7-10lb. pull over a yard of gravel and transform it into a refined trigger that broke like a glass rod. We needed a refined AR trigger that could stand next to a fine bolt gun trigger and hold its head high. As a value proposition, no trigger we (or anyone else) offers gives you as much improvement for the price. This kit combines readily with the rest of our FC components, or jump into our complete Fire Control Package.
Complete Fire Control Package
Our original JP Fire Control Kit has long been the benchmark for all single-stage AR triggers in terms of precision, reliability, durability, safety and longevity in the market. As the next step, we combined the versatility of our component parts with nearly the drop-in convenience of a module for our complete Fire Control Package. Combining our entire fire control lineup, this innovative trigger installs in under fifteen minutes without any gunsmith fitting or modification of parts. It really is the best of all worlds—a superb trigger job on par with our own professional in-house installation, the speed and ease of a module and the versatility of a components trigger.

Speed up your lock time and minimize inertia for greater accuracy with the JP Speed Hammer. This standalone hammer makes the perfect compliment to our classic trigger system or as a drop-in upgrade for a stock trigger.
The drawback to hammer-fired ignition systems like that in the AR design is a notoriously slow lock time. Add to this the torque effect of the hammer accelerating through its arc, which is transmitted through the whole rifle. Just try dry-firing your rifle as you look at a 100-yard target and see how far the scope moves from point of aim.
Speed is the answer, and that means a lighter hammer.
The JP Speed Hammer minimizes this effect for a significant through a 50% reduction in lock time, improved accuracy potential and higher ignition reliability. This hammer is so fast you can hear the difference when you dry-fire. It's as close as you can come to the lock time and torque-free function of a linear-striker action as the AR mechanism can reach.
Machined from cryogenically treated S7 tool steel, the JP Speed Hammer is then vacuum hardened to 58 Rockwell all throughout, not just on the surface like conventional hammers. It also features a precision pressed-in stainless pin boss for accurate alignment. Improved metallurgy, precision geometry and notch preparation result in a high durability/high performance part with major performance gains.
For existing JP Fire Control Kit installs, the JP Speed Hammer makes for an easy upgrade. The Mil-spec engagement of this new version also allows it to function with stock Mil-spec triggers and safeties.
The JPFC-SA adjustable/reversible selector can be used with most any AR trigger components to allow for a perfect and safe relationship between trigger and selector, blocking all movement in the "safe" position. It eliminates the need for "fitting the safety" in our original JP Fire Control kits or other aftermarket triggers where the trigger-selector relationship is not perfect. The JPFC-SA will cut installation time by 1/3 or more while eliminating any risk of ruining the trigger by over-fitting.

JP Oversize Anti-Walk Pins are the icing on the cake for a refined fire control system. Removing all the slop between the trigger, hammer, pins and the receiver results in that extra bit of enhancement to get the maximum performance potential out of high-grade trigger parts.
Available in .156 for small pin receivers, these tool steel trigger/hammer pins are black oxided for corrosion resistance and retained by custom buttonhead stainless retainer screws with thread locker on both ends.
No modification to the lower receiver is needed, but be aware that the trigger and hammer may have to be reamed for a perfect fit with these parts, and a detail stripping of the lower receiver will be required in most cases
Spending $140 or more for trigger parts on every AR-15 rifle you may own may not be realistic. If you can't quite pop for our complete trigger kit, or have too many rifles and can't justify expensive triggers in all of them, then this may be for you. You can achieve a significant improvement over stock parts by using a set of our custom trigger/hammer springs and the Armite sear grease. With proper sear and hammer notch preparation, a livable 4.5 to 5.0 smooth trigger in a rifle with standard trigger components is possible. It will not have the extremely short engagement/over travel feel like the JP trigger, but you will have a smooth "roll-off" feel that will give usable trigger control. The spring kit includes trigger, hammer and disconnector spring and complete instructions on how to prep your parts for best results. Or, send in your lower assembly and we'll do it for you, complete with springs, professional work over of your parts, and return shipping included for $65.00.
