The JP rifle is no newcomer to the hunting field, and other than a wood stock, the new LRP-07H retains all the attributes you look for in any fine quality hunting rifle. The LRP-07H features the same durable receivers machined from solid 7075 aluminum billet that we use in our competition and tactical rifles. Assembled with our top-quality components, this is a configuration ideally suited for your long-anticipated hunt. Side Charging System

With its shorter stroke and better leverage potential, the unique left-side charging system of the LRP-07H is easier to use than the needlessly difficult T-handle of the AR-10. You won’t have to dismount the rifle in order to charge it, and the handle itself folds back automatically to minimize the rifle’s overall profile while still affording surface area to grip.

Operating System

This is the smoothest .308 platform on the market today with a felt recoil impulse that is nothing short of amazing. The JP Low Mass Operating System (LMOS™) incorporates our low mass bolt carrier, ground action spring and mid-length, completely adjustable gas system for superior reliability and tunability while still delivering near maximum velocity from the efficient .308 Winchester cartridge.

Hand Guard

The unique modular hand guard results in a .308 platform that handles like a .223. The unique acentric nut design of the JP Modular Hand Guard uses a smaller, more manageable diameter tube with improved ergonomics, and the accurate free floating design allows the hunter to brace the rifle anywhere along the tube without point-of-impact shift. Complete customizability of accessories like bipods is also available through the hand guard’s mounting rail options

Supermatch™ Barrel

The 18-inch JP Supermatch™ stainless steel barrel is lapped, air-gauged and cryogenically treated to ensure cold bore shot predictability, resistance to thermal drift on POA and exceptional life expectancy. Black Teflon™finish is included to eliminate any shine while hunting in the woods. For muzzle treatment, the LRP-07H comes with both the JP high-efficiency compensator and a standard thread protector as interchangeable options.
